Manicotti image

I made this, at my husband's request, many, many times after we were first married. He still requests it after 32 years! This recipe came from the back of a mayonnaise jar.

1/2 lb ground beef
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 cup cottage cheese
4 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 (16 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
1/2 teaspoon oregano
parmesan cheese, grated
cooked manicotti

Steps:

  • Brown beef and garlic; drain.
  • Mix next 4 ingredients; stir in beef.
  • Fill each manicotti with about 1/4 cup of cheese and meat mixture.
  • Place in a baking dish; cover with sauvce.
  • Sprinkle with oregano and parmesan cheese.
  • Cover with foil.
  • Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake 10 more minutes.
