1 t baking powder
1 1/2 t ginger
1/2 t cinnamon
1/2 t salt
1 c shortening
2 c brown sugar
3 eggs
1 c molasses
1 t baking soda
1 1/2 c hot water

Steps:

  • sugar + shortening; eggs; molasses; alternate flour/spices and water/soda; 8-10 minutes at 375
