This recipe was in my Mom's collection. Its simple and hearty. Good comfort food for a winter day. This is a great way to use leftovers, too.

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl stir together chicken, rice, peas (if using) and broth. Set aside.
- 2. Put butter in casserole dish and sit it in the preheating oven until butter is melted. Meanwhile, stir together the remaining ingredients.
- 3. When butter is melted remove dish from oven carefully. Pour flour mixture into dish. Then spoon chicken mixture into the center of the casserole. Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes. Let stand about 5 minutes before serving.
