Mom's Rhubarb Crisp image

This is the best crisp ever. Serve warm with Ice Cream ...

Number Of Ingredients 16

mix until crumbly:
1/2 c melted butter ( margerine works too.)
3/4 c oatmeal, uncooked
1 c all purpose flour
3/4 c brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon, ground
PRESS 3/4 MIXTURE IN GREASED 9X9 IN. BAKING DISH.
SPRINKLE:
4 c rhubarb, diced
COMBINE:
1 c sugar
1 c water
2 Tbsp corn starch
COOK UNTIL CLEAR, CAREFUL NOT TO BURN. ADD:
1 tsp vanilla
POUR OVER RHUBARB. PUT REST OF CRUMB MIXTURE ON TOP. BAKE 1 HR. AT 350 DEGREES
