Steps:
- 1. Follow directions on bean package for water amount. Cook beans, onions and ham hock for 1 hour.
- 2. Then, add extra ham chunks, potatoes, and cabbage (more water may be needed).
- 3. Season to taste. Simmer for hours until potatoes and cabbage cooked.
