I have made this for years and family and friends love it and it is so easy to make. My daughter use to live on a farm and her landlord always got peanut brittle at the farmers market. My daughter told him about mine so I made him a batch. Well, needless to say he likes mine better. It's so yummy!

Steps:
- 1. Place sugar, corn syrup and water in a sauce pan and cook until you reach 240 degrees on a candy thermometer and add peanuts and stir gently.
- 2. Continue to cook until you reach 295 degrees, stirring constantly.
- 3. Remove from heat, add butter and stir until butter dissolves.
- 4. Add soda and salt, stirring vigorously. ( mixture will foam and change color )
