Nut Balls image

These delicate little cookies have been a part of my Christmas cookie trays for years. I usually use a combo of pecans and walnuts in these. A photo will be added before Christmas.

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 c flour
1/4 c sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 c unsalted butter, softened
2 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 c finely chopped nuts

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350°. Grease cookie sheet.
  • 2. Cream softened butter and vanilla. Sift flour, sugar and salt together and add to butter mixture. Mix well. Add nuts and mix again.
  • 3. Shape into 1/2" balls. Bake for 30-40 minutes until lightly browned on bottom. Roll cooled cookies in confectioner's sugar.
