Oatmeal Craisin Cookies image

This is my all-time favorite cookie recipe! I've been posting several of my Christmas cookie recipes. One of the ones I used to make were oatmeal cookies, but I have since married and hubby's family recipe for oatmeal cookies is MUCH better than mine. They are fluffy and cake-like, a little chewy...just the way I love them! ...

I'm not a big fan of craisins, so I used raisins instead. The cookies still turned out great.

These cookies are a bit too dry for my taste. I think I'll add a little bit of extra butter next time.

These cookies are a great way to use up leftover oatmeal. I always have a container of cooked oatmeal in my fridge, so I can whip up a batch of these cookies whenever I'm craving something sweet.

The cookies didn't spread out as much as I thought they would. I think I should have flattened them a bit more before baking.

These cookies were a bit too sweet for my taste. I think I'll reduce the amount of sugar next time.

These oatmeal craisin cookies were a hit with my family! They were soft and chewy, with just the right amount of sweetness. The craisins added a nice tartness that balanced out the sweetness of the cookie.
