Yield 10-12 people

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 package puff pastry
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup sliced almonds (blanched preferred)
3 cups whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup sugar

Steps:

  • Cook puff pastry according to package instructions. Once cool, tear 1/2 package into 1- 1 1/2" pieces and place in a 9x11" rectangular or oval baking dish. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Sprinkle puff pastry in dish with half of raisins and almonds. Meanwhile, heat milk, cream and sugar until warm and sugar has melted. Place remaining puff pastry is dish torn into pieces as done with above. Then sprinkle with remaining raisins and almonds. Pour warmed milk mixture over puff pastry and sprinkle with cinnamon (optional). Bake in oven for 30 minutes or until bubbling at edges and relatively firm in center.
