OSGOOD PIE

Yellow raisins and pecans. This makes a very tasty "hand pie." My mother used to make this when I was a kid. Eggs were 15 cents per dozen, butter 15 cents per pound. She considered this expensive, and only made this for special occasions--church socials etc. My mother never cut this pie smaller than quarters.

I followed the recipe exactly, but my pie didn't turn out at all. The crust was burnt and the filling was raw.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my pie didn't turn out as good as I hoped. The crust was too dry and the filling was too runny.

I was hesitant to try this pie because I'm not a big fan of coconut, but I'm so glad I did! The coconut flavor is very subtle and it pairs perfectly with the apples.
