Categories     Pork     Side     Bake     Quick & Easy

Number Of Ingredients 1

1-pound package of bacon strips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cover large sheet pan with heavy duty foil. If pan does not have edges, crimp the foil to create some. The edges of the pan are essential and will serve to contain the liquid grease as the bacon cooks. Lay bacon strips onto the sheet. The strips can be crowded together or slightly overlapping. Place bacon onto center rack. Check bacon after 15 min. for doneness. If more crispness is desired, bake for an additional 5 min, but check frequently at this point. Remove from oven and lay bacon onto paper towels to remove excess fat. Reuse these paper towels after the bacon is finished by placing them on top of the foil to help absorb the grease left on the sheet. Roll up foil and paper towels and toss.

Overall, I'm really happy with this recipe. It's easy to follow and the bacon turns out great.

This recipe was a waste of time. The bacon was tough and chewy.

The bacon didn't cook evenly. Some of the pieces were crispy, while others were still soft.

The bacon was a little too salty for my taste. I think I'll use less salt next time.

This recipe is a great way to use up leftover bacon grease. I just brush it on the bacon before I cook it.

I've tried other oven-fried bacon recipes, but this one is by far the best. The bacon is cooked evenly and it's always crispy.

I love that this recipe doesn't require any special equipment. I just used a baking sheet and a wire rack.

This recipe is a great way to cook bacon if you're watching your fat intake. The bacon cooks on a wire rack, so the grease drips away.

I was skeptical at first, but this bacon is surprisingly good. It's not quite as crispy as pan-fried bacon, but it's still nice and flavorful.

This recipe is a lifesaver for busy weeknights. I can throw the bacon in the oven and forget about it until it's done. No more hovering over the stove, splattering grease everywhere.

Oven-fried bacon is a game-changer! It's so crispy and flavorful, without all the mess of frying it in a pan. I'll never go back to the traditional method again.
