Peanut Butter and Chocolate Panini image

This panini can be grilled in a pan or put in a panini grill. Press the sandwiches with a heavy object of cooking in a pan. It is very versatile and great for a quick snack or a dessert that will leave everyone wanting more!

1 teaspoon butter
½ cup crunchy peanut butter
8 slices firm bread
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Preheat a panini press according to manufacturer's instructions to medium-low heat. Coat inside surfaces with butter.
  • Spread 1 to 2 tablespoons peanut butter onto half the bread slices; cover peanut butter with 1 to 2 tablespoons chocolate chips. Top each with a second slice of bread, creating 4 sandwiches.
  • Grill each sandwich in the panini press until bread is toasted and chocolate is melted, 2 to 4 minutes.
