I found this recipe on another site and it works! Perfect poached egg in 45 seconds! This takes the time and work out of poaching an egg. Enjoy!

Time 1m

Yield 1 egg, 1 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 large egg
2 cups boiling water (approximately)
1 teaspoon white vinegar

Steps:

  • Boil water and add 1 tsp vinegar. Fill a ramekin or any microwave safe bowl 3/4 of the way with boiling water. Crack an egg and gently slip it into the water. Cover with plastic wrap or a plate and microwave on high for 30 seconds. Use a soup spoon and gently turn egg over, this is so it cooks on both sides. Cover again and microwave 15 seconds longer. Remove immediately from water with a large spoon and drain on a paper towel. Enjoy!

These eggs were amazing! The hollandaise sauce was so rich and creamy. I will definitely be making these again for my next brunch party.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my eggs came out overcooked. I will try again with less cooking time.

I've never had poached eggs before, but these were delicious! The yolk was so rich and creamy. I will definitely be making these again.

This was a disaster! The egg exploded in the microwave and made a huge mess. I don't recommend this method.

Meh.

Not bad! The egg was cooked evenly and the yolk was still runny. I would have liked the white to be a little firmer, but overall it was a good egg.

This is the easiest way to poach an egg! I've never been able to poach an egg successfully before, but this method is foolproof. The egg came out perfectly cooked, with a runny yolk and firm white. I will definitely be using this method again.
