Quick & Easy Blueberry Sauce image

This delicious sauce can be used in so many different ways-- to top ice cream or cheesecake, layered with whipped cream and sliced pound cake, or warmed and served over pancakes.

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 lb fresh blueberries or 1 lb frozen blueberries
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 1/2 teaspoons grated lemons, rind of

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in medium saucepan.
  • Stir over medium heat until cornstarch dissolves.
  • Boil until thickened, stirring occasionally, about 4 minutes.
  • Cover and refrigerate.
