Rosemary Honey Cookies image

Mom made lots of Honey Cookies since Dad kept bees and honey was always in good supply at our house. I added rosemary to this old recipe and i love it this way now.

Number Of Ingredients 11

3/4 c butter, softened
1/2 c sugar
1 egg
1/2 c honey
1 Tbsp lemon juice
2 c all purpose flour
2 tsp dried rosemary, crushed
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg

Steps:

  • 1. In a bowl, cream shortening, butter and sugar. Beat in egg, honey and lemon juice. Combine dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture.
  • 2. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 325 degrees for 12-14 minutes or until lightly browned. Yield: about 4 dozen.
