Categories     Marinade     Fish     Dinner

Yield 4-6

Number Of Ingredients 9

2-4 fillets of Ahi Tuna, sashimi fresh
1/2 cup of soy sauce
1 orange
2 garlic cloves finely chopped
1 shallot
2 teaspoons sesame oil
ginger is optional
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon chili oil

Steps:

  • Step 1: Combine all ingredients together in a marinading bowl, including the juice of the orange (leave some aside for the searing) Step 2: Marinade Fish for at least 15 min, the longer you marinade, the saltier the fish Step 3: On high heat, in a non-stick pan sear each side of the fillet for one minute, not any longer as this will result in overcooking the fish. As you're searing squeeze the orange juice over the fish, and even on the pan before you put the fillet on. To cook the center, use a lid. If the fish is fresh, it is great to eat semi-raw.
