Six-Minute Broccoli image

This Chinese style dish is made with ordinary ingredients. Adding the toasted sesame seeds makes this a party dish.

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 c broccoli florets
3 Tbsp olive oil
1-1/2 tsp salt
3/4 c water
1 tsp sugar
1 Tbsp sesame seeds, toasted

Steps:

  • 1. Separate florets of broccoli into small pieces.
  • 2. Wash broccoli. Drain.
  • 3. Heat oil in wok to 400 degrees. When hot, put in broccoli and stir-fry 1 minute.
  • 4. Add salt, water, and sugar. Cover. Cook 3 minutes at 300 degrees.
  • 5. Remove cover. Stir-fry 2 minutes.
  • 6. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
