Slow Cooker Guinness Sausages image

I like to slice the sausages on the diagonal before putting in the slow cooker. But I've also left them whole - both ways work. Serve over mashed potatoes....yummm!

Number Of Ingredients 7

8 medium farmers sausages (or any plump pork sausage)

1 tsp bovril (optional)
1 can(s) beef stock

  • 3. Pour the bovril, beef stock and beer over the top.

I love this recipe! The sausages are so flavorful and the gravy is to die for. I usually serve it with mashed potatoes and green beans, but it would also be great over rice or noodles.

This dish is a bit bland for my taste. I think it needs more seasoning. I also found that the sausages were a bit dry. I would probably add some more liquid to the slow cooker next time.

I'm not a fan of Guinness, but I still enjoyed this dish. The sausages were cooked perfectly and the gravy was delicious. I would definitely make this again, even without the Guinness.

This dish was a disappointment. The sausages were dry and tough, and the gravy was bland. I followed the recipe exactly, so I'm not sure what went wrong. I won't be making this again.
