Never would have thought to put cloves and pork chop together, but they make a great marriage in this very easy dish.

Steps:
- 1. Season chops with salt and pepper; dredge in flour.
- 2. Brown chops in 2 tablespoons butter.
- 3. Insert a clove in each chop and place in a a baking dish.
- 4. In the same pan that chops were browned, add sugar, water, sour cream, bay leaf and vinegar.
- 5. Bring to a boil; pour over chops. Tightly cover and bake in 350-degree oven for 1 1/2 hours.
- 6. Discard bay leaf and cloves.
