Something different for a change! This is so creamy and flavorful. It's perfect for a cool day. I made this up one night when I was tired of the same old tomato-based soup.

I'm not a big fan of spicy food, so I used a mild chipotle pepper. It was still flavorful without being too hot.

I wasn't sure how the chipotle pepper would taste, but it added a really nice smoky flavor to the chowder.

I would have liked the recipe to include instructions for making my own tortilla strips, but the store-bought ones worked just fine.

The chowder was a bit too thick for my liking, so I added some extra chicken broth. It was perfect after that.

This chowder is a bit spicy for my taste, so I only used half of the chipotle pepper. It was still plenty flavorful.

I'm not a big fan of tortellini, so I used small pasta shells instead. It worked just as well.

I substituted ground turkey for the chicken and used vegetable broth instead of chicken broth. It turned out great!

This chowder had an explosion of flavors in my mouth. The smoky spice of the chipotle, the sun-dried tomatoes' tang, and the creamy chicken broth made this a hearty and comforting meal.
