Soy Braised Peanuts image

These are sweet and savory sticky and nutty. They are softer than non braised nuts. Throw them in your soups noodle dishes or as a snack.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 c raw shelled peanuts
2 Tbsp soy sauce
2 Tbsp mirin
1 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp corn syrup
1 c dashi broth or water

Steps:

  • 1. Add 2 cups of water to a pan and bring to a boil and add peanuts and let boil for 10 minutes. Drain the peanuts
  • 2. Add peanuts back to the pan and put all the ingredients. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to a low simmer and simmer until all liquid is absorbed. About 25 to 30 minutes
