Spicy Maple-Roasted Delicata Squash image

Fresno chiles add a kick of heat to this sweetened delicata squash.

1 delicata squash - halved, seeded, and sliced into 1/2-inch half-moons
1 red Fresno chile pepper, sliced very thinly
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon olive oil
salt to taste
ground black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • Combine squash, Fresno chile, maple syrup, olive oil, salt, and pepper together in a bowl. Transfer to a baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until tender, about 25 minutes, tossing halfway through.
