Categories     Salad     Beef     Sauté     Quick & Easy

Yield 6-8 people

Number Of Ingredients 10

lettuce
tomato, chopped or sliced
shredded cheddar cheese
1 lb. hamburger meat
1 package taco seasoning
1 small onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, peeled and chopped
Doritos or Fritos
1 can Ranch Style Beans
Catalina French Dressing

Steps:

  • Brown hamburger meat in a skillet. Just before it is done, add onion and garlic. Mix in Taco Seasoning Mix according to package directions. Heat Ranch Style Beans. Crush chips. To serve, layer crushed chips (try Nacho Cheese Doritos for extra flavor), beans, meat, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. Top with dressing. (Using Catalina is traditional, but my husband loves this with Ranch dressing instead.) You can leave the beans out if you wish, or substitute refried beans, pork and beans, etc. When it gave me the choice of picking the type of dish, I chose salad, but this is a full meal by itself.
