Swiss Cheese French Bread image

This is a family favorite and Christmas dinner tradition!

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 large loaf of french bread
1 lb swiss cheese, sliced into 1 inch cubes
1 1/2 stick margarine-softened
2 Tbsp dried minced onion
1 tsp lawrey's seasoning salt
1 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp lemon juice

Steps:

  • 1. Cut bread into 1" slices.(cutting diagonal strips down one side, repeating the strips on the opposite end to create a diamond effect to the 1" slices). Place Bread onto foil in a baking pan creating a bowl effect with foil so as the sauce won't flow onto pan).
  • 2. Place 1 slice cheese between each slice of the bread, making sure not to miss any slices of bread.
  • 3. Mix other ingredients together. Spread on top and sides of bread.
  • 4. Add another piece of foil over the top of the prepared bread covering completely. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
