Thanksgiving Cranberry Mold image

My family serves this Thanksgiving tradition. It's a delicious twist on plain cranberry sauce, filled with apples and walnuts. The flavor blend is excellent with turkey.

1 (3 ounce) package cherry-flavored gelatin mix (such as Jell-O®)
1 cup boiling water
¾ cup pineapple juice (not fresh juice)
1 (8 ounce) can whole cranberry sauce
1 cup diced apple
⅓ cup coarsely chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Stir gelatin mix and boiling water together in a bowl until dissolved. Add pineapple juice and cranberry sauce; stir until incorporated and thickened. Fold in apple and walnuts. Pour gelatin mixture into a mold and refrigerate until set, at least 4 hours.

This is a great recipe! I've made it several times and it always turns out perfectly. The only thing I do differently is to use a little bit less sugar than the recipe calls for. I also like to add a little bit of lemon zest to the batter. It gives t
