WHOLE WHEAT BANANA PANCAKES image

Yield 12 medium-size pancakes

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 c. whole wheat pastry flour
2 t. baking powder
1/4 t. salt
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 t. cinnamon
2/3 c. milk
1 T. vanilla extract
3 large ripe bananas, mashed
2 T. butter, melted
1 egg

Steps:

  • 1. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and cinnamon in a large bowl. 2. In another bowl, Mash banana, add in the milk, vanilla extract and egg to it. 3. Whisk together the dry ingredients and add wet ingredients stirring to combine. Add in melted butter and stir until batter is somewhat smooth. 4. Cook like pancakes (in a pre-heated pan or griddle until you see bubbles and flip).
