Yield 6

Number Of Ingredients 10

3 egg whites
1 cup Gold Medal™ whole wheat flour
1 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
2 cups buttermilk
1 tablespoon sugar
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup honey
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

Steps:

  • Heat waffle maker. If necessary, brush with vegetable oil before batter for each waffle is added (or spray with cooking spray before heating). In medium bowl, beat egg whites with egg beater until foamy. Beat in remaining waffle ingredients just until smooth.
  • Pour about 3/4 cup batter from cup or pitcher onto center of hot waffle maker. (Check manufacturer's directions for recommended amount of batter.) Close lid of waffle maker.
  • Bake about 5 minutes or until steaming stops. Carefully remove waffle. Repeat with remaining batter.
  • Meanwhile, in small microwavable bowl, mix honey and peanut butter. Microwave uncovered on High 40 to 60 seconds or until warm; stir until smooth. Serve with waffles.

These waffles were delicious! The whole wheat flour gave them a nice nutty flavor, and the syrup was amazing. I will definitely be making these again.

Meh, these waffles were okay. They weren't bad, but they weren't anything special either. The syrup was a bit too sweet for my taste.

These waffles were really dense and chewy, and the syrup was too runny. I think I'll stick to my regular waffle recipe.

These waffles were a bit too dry for my taste. I think I might add a little more milk next time. The syrup was good, but it was a bit too sweet for me.

I've made these waffles several times now, and they're always a hit. My kids love them, and they're a great way to get them to eat whole wheat. The syrup is also really good, and it's a nice change from regular maple syrup.

These waffles were easy to make and turned out great! I used almond milk instead of regular milk, and they were still delicious. The syrup was also really easy to make and added a lot of flavor to the waffles.

I was really excited to try these waffles, but I was disappointed. They were really dense and chewy, and the syrup was too runny. I think I'll stick to my regular waffle recipe.
