I had a hard time finding phyllo dough at my local grocery store. I ended up using puff pastry dough instead and it worked out fine.

The puffs were a bit too oily for my taste. I think I would try baking them next time instead of frying them.

I found the recipe to be a bit bland. I added some extra spices and herbs to give it more flavor.

I'm not a huge fan of winter squash, but I really enjoyed these puffs. The spices and cheese helped to balance out the sweetness of the squash.

I was skeptical about using butternut squash in a puff pastry, but I'm so glad I gave it a try. The squash was perfectly roasted and complemented the flaky pastry beautifully.
