Zesty Ham Sandwich image

I learned that in Rome and other parts of Italy, pizza simply started out as bread with oil and herbs on it. In some locales, cheese, tomato and grilled meat were added. With the basic original pizza ingredients surrounding me, I was inspired to make a modern version of an ancient food and this recipe was born.-Mara Mcauley, Hinsdale, New York

This was the best ham sandwich I've ever had! The ham was so tender and flavorful, and the cheese was melted and gooey. The bread was also toasted perfectly.

I'm not a big fan of ham sandwiches, but this one was pretty good. The ham was tender and flavorful, and the cheese was melted and gooey. The bread was also toasted perfectly.

This was an okay sandwich. The ham and cheese were good, but the bread was a little dry. I think I would have enjoyed it more if the bread had been toasted.

This recipe is a keeper! I've made it several times now and it always turns out great. The ham and cheese are a classic combination, and the Dijon mustard adds a nice tang. I also like to add a few slices of tomato to my sandwich.
