Number Of Ingredients 8

5 Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup apple juice
3/4 cup brown sugar, I use soft dark
1 cup plain flour
1/2 cup caster sugar
1/2 cup rolled oats
75 g unsalted butter, softened

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  • Put apples, raisins, juice and brown sugar in a medium sized saucepan, and cook over a medium heat for about 15 mins or until the apples are soft.

  • Put flour, caster sugar and oats into a large bowl and stir well.
  • Add the butter and rub lightly until it resembles coarse breadcrumbs. Scatter over apple mixture.

I'm not sure what went wrong, but this crumble was a complete disaster. It was inedible. I would not recommend this recipe to anyone.

I didn't like this crumble at all. The topping was too hard and the filling was too mushy. I wouldn't recommend this recipe.

This crumble was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either. I probably wouldn't make it again.

The crumble topping was a bit too dry for my liking, but the filling was very good. I would try a different crumble topping next time.

This crumble was a bit too sweet for my taste, but it was still good. I think I would use less sugar next time.
