BASIC QUESADILLAS image

This is a fast and easy Recipe. Squeeze fresh lime over the quesadilla and add fresh cilantro. Would be great on the grill

Number Of Ingredients 4

4 flour tortillas, 12 inch
1 c shredded monterey jack cheese
1 c freshly made salsa
11/2 c cooking oil

Steps:

  • 1. Lay out tortilla and cover half with 1/4 cup cheese and 1/4 cup salsa. Fold the other half pressing down. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
  • 2. Heat a wide saute' pan over medium high heat. Heat 2 tablespoons of the oil in the pan and put in tortilla.
  • 3. After 3 to 4 minutes, carefully flip it over the bottom side should be golden brown.
  • 4. Continue to cook for 3 to 4 more minutes, then remove the quesadilla and keep it warm.
  • 5. Repeat with the remaining tortillas, adding oil as needed.
  • 6. You can add many things inside or outside the quesadilla.
  • 7. INSIDE: You can add cooked chicken, beef, black beans or shrimp.
  • 8. OUTSIDE: You can serve them with sour cream guacamole, and more salsa.
