1/2 cup lemon juice
2 teaspoons fresh basil, chopped
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons fresh oregano, chopped

4 lbs raw shrimp in shells

Steps:

  • The shrimp should be of a size to number 30-35 per pound.
  • Melt the Butter in a large deep-sided frying pan or iron skillet over low heat.
  • When melted, raise the heat, and add the remaining ingredients except the shrimp.
  • Cook, stirring often, until browned to a rich mahogany color, about 10 minutes.
  • Add the shrimp, stir- ring and turning to coat well with the seasoned Butter.

¼ cup butter
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 red bell pepper, diced
½ pound portobello mushrooms, diced
1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 (15 ounce) jar Alfredo sauce
½ cup grated Romano cheese
½ cup cream
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or more to taste
Salt and pepper to taste
¼ cup chopped parsley
