Time 8m

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 frozen salmon fillets
1 tbsp butter
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper

Steps:

  • Spray the bottom of the air fryer basket with a non-stick cooking spray.
  • Put frozen salmon fillets in the air fryer basket.
  • Set the air fryer to 400F for 5 minutes.
  • When the air fryer is done cooking, sprinkle the salmon fillets with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Divide butter into 2 pieces and put a piece of butter on top of each salmon fillet.
  • Set the air fryer to 400F for 3 minutes.
  • When the air fryer is done cooking, check the thickest part of the salmon to see if it's cooked enough to your liking. The exact cooking time depends on how thick is the salmon, and it's better to undercook and add more cooking time then to overcook and dry it out :) If it's not cooked enough, return it to the air fryer for an additional 3 minutes at 400F, then check again.
  • When the salmon is cooked through, remove it to a plate and serve.

Number Of Ingredients 3

2 6 oz Salmon (filets, frozen)
1 tsp Avocado Oil
Salt & Pepper (to taste)

Steps:

  • Prepare your air fryer. For this method, I not only preheat my air fryer to 400F, but I also lightly grease the air fryer basket with avocado oil. This helps keep the salmon from sticking as it thaws and then cooks.
  • Air fry the salmon filet. Place frozen salmon filets at the bottom of the air fryer basket and set the timer for 15 minutes. Halfway through, take a spatula and get under the salmon to release it and flip over.
  • Season the salmon. After it's flipped, brush with a small amount of avocado oil, then add salt and pepper. Let it cook for 5-7 minutes more or until salmon is completely cooked through.
  • Remove and serve. Remove the cooked salmon using tongs or a spatula. Add a squeeze of lemon juice and serve hot with your favorite side dish.

Tips:

  • Thaw the salmon fillets: If your salmon fillets are frozen, thaw them in the refrigerator overnight or in a bowl of cold water for about 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the air fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for at least 5 minutes before cooking the salmon.
  • Season the salmon: Season the salmon fillets with salt, pepper, and any other desired seasonings before cooking.
  • Cook the salmon: Place the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through. The internal temperature of the salmon should reach 145°F (63°C).
  • Serve the salmon: Serve the cooked salmon immediately with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a salad.

Conclusion:

Air fryer frozen salmon fillets are a quick, easy, and delicious way to cook salmon. This cooking method results in perfectly cooked salmon that is moist and flaky on the inside and crispy on the outside. Plus, air fryer salmon is a healthier alternative to traditional fried salmon, as it uses less oil. Whether you're a beginner cook or a seasoned pro, you'll love this simple and delicious recipe.
