Categories     Dinner

Time 30m

Number Of Ingredients 12

3 pounds baby back pork ribs ((1 rack))
3 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
salt and pepper (to taste)

Steps:

  • Remove the membrane: Peel off the silverskin from the back of the ribs.
  • Cut the rack of pork ribs into 2-3 sections so that it can fit into your air fryer basket.
  • Make the spice rub: In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper and cumin.
  • Season the baby back ribs: Pat the ribs dry and rub the ribs on all sides with the spice rub.
  • Cook the ribs in the air fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F/190°C for a few minutes. Once hot, place the ribs into the basket with the meat side down and cook for 15 minutes. (It's important to let the air fryer to heat up first to avoid the ribs from sticking to the basket.)
  • Flip the ribs using kitchen tongs, and cook for 10 more minutes at 375°F/190°C.
  • Make the BBQ sauce: While the ribs are cooking, you can add bbq sauce ingredients in a saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat until the sugar and salt are completely dissolved.
  • Brush with BBQ sauce: Remove the basket from the air fryer and brush generously with barbecue sauce on all sides.
  • Place the basket back in the air fryer and cook for 3-5 more minutes at 400°F/200°C, or until the sauce has set and darkened slightly. (It may take more or less time based on the thickness or your ribs)
  • Remove the ribs from the basket and let them rest for 5 minutes so that the juices can redistribute through the meat. Feel free to brush with more barbeque sauce if you like.

AIR FRYER SPARERIBS

Air Fryer Spareribs image

We used an air fryer to turn spareribs into a quick and easy weeknight dinner. Separating the ribs helps them to fit in the fryer, cook quickly and get an even, golden crust all over. Make sure you dip them in the warm barbeque sauce immediately after they are done cooking--they'll absorb more flavor while still hot.

Time 1h

Yield 2 to 3 servings

Number Of Ingredients 9

Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
3 teaspoons paprika
1 full rack St. Louis-style pork ribs, separated (2 1/2 to 3 pounds)
2 cups ketchup
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
1/3 cup distilled white vinegar
1/3 cup packed dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 to 2 teaspoons hot sauce

Steps:

  • Whisk together 1 tablespoon salt, 2 tablespoons pepper and 1 teaspoon of the paprika in a large bowl until well combined. Add the ribs and toss to coat, pressing the seasoning into each rib.
  • Preheat a 3.5-quart air fryer to 350 degrees F. Transfer the ribs to the fryer basket and cook until the ribs are tender and golden brown, about 40 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, combine the ketchup, cider vinegar, white vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire, hot sauce, 2 teaspoons salt, 2 teaspoons pepper, 3/4 cup water and the remaining 2 teaspoons paprika in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the sugar is melted and the sauce is warmed through, about 2 minutes. Cover and keep warm over low heat.
  • Once the ribs are cooked, dip each one into the sauce, letting any excess run off. Serve with the remaining sauce on the side.

SUCCULENT PORK BABY BACK RIBS MADE IN AIR FRYER

Succulent Pork Baby Back Ribs made in air fryer image

Making ribs could not be easier when using the air fryer! It's quick so you can have your mouth-watering ribs cooked in 30 minutes (active cooking time) as opposed to hours when using the oven! Cleaning up is a breeze, just hand wash the detachable parts, or even put it in the dishwasher, and wipe down the air fryer interior.

Provided by Claire Baker

Categories     Main Course

Time 40m

Number Of Ingredients 7

900 grams Pork Baby Back Ribs
2 teaspoon Honey
2 teaspoon Water
5 tablespoons Soy Sauce
4 tablespoons Oyster Sauce
1 tablespoon Crushed garlic
3 tablespoons Tomato sauce

Steps:

  • Cut the pork rib into quarters and combine pork ribs, all the sauces and garlic in the 2 large sandwich bags. Zip-lock the bags and massage the sauce and garlic into the pork ribs.
  • Let the pork ribs marinade in the sauces for at least 2 hours. For best flavours leave the pork ribs in the marinade over night.
  • Pre-heat the air fryer with a temperature of 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit) for 2 minutes.
  • Spray some oil in the Air Fryer basket. Alternatively, you can use Air Fryer parchment paper.
  • Pull the air fryer basket out after the pre-heating is completed. Make sure to use tongs, as the air fryer basket is hot after the pre-heating, and place the pork ribs in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Drizzle some of the remaining marinade over the pork ribs so that it just covers the surface. Ensure that the pork ribs are not drenched in sauce because the sauce can burn in the air fryer.
  • Set the air fryer at 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit) for 25 minutes. Then place the basket back into the air fryer for cooking.
  • In the meantime, in a small bowl mix the honey with the water.
  • When the timer has reached 25 minutes pull the air fryer basket out and glaze the pork ribs with honey water mixture.
  • Place the pork ribs back into the air fryer and set the temperature at 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit) for 5 minutes.
  • Pull out the air fryer basket when the air fryer has finished cooking and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  • Take the pork ribs out with tongs and cut along the ribs. Serve with your favourite sides (look at serving suggestions above for some ideas).
