INGRID'S CAESAR SALAD DRESSING

Ingrid's Caesar Salad Dressing image

This Caesar salad dressing is always a hit! Prepare at least 4 hours in advance for best taste. No raw egg means you can make this dressing and keep it in the fridge for up to 5 days, and it only gets better with time! For extra presentation serve with croutons, cubes of avocado flesh, and grated Parmesan cheese. Leftover dressing makes good dip for fresh veggies as a snack (Just maybe not at work due to the awesome amount of garlic!)

ANGIE'S JUST-RIGHT SALAD DRESSING

Angie's Just-Right Salad Dressing image

This is definitely a favorite of mine. Unlike bottled dressings, it enhances the salad instead of overpowering it. A simple blend of oil, white wine vinegar, and ingredients most people have on hand, this is absolutely delicious on every tossed salad I've tried it on. And, it's a lot less expensive than bottled dressing!

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: The fresher your ingredients, the better your dressing will taste. If possible, use herbs and spices that you have grown yourself or that you know have been recently harvested.
  • Taste as you go: Don't be afraid to taste your dressing as you make it and adjust the seasonings to your liking. A good dressing should be balanced, with a little bit of sweetness, sourness, saltiness, and bitterness.
  • Let your dressing rest: After you have made your dressing, let it rest for at least 30 minutes before using it. This will allow the flavors to meld together and develop.
  • Store your dressing properly: Store your dressing in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Be sure to shake the dressing well before using it.

Conclusion:

With these tips in mind, you can create delicious salad dressings that will enhance the flavor of your salads and make them more enjoyable. So next time you're making a salad, don't just reach for a store-bought dressing. Take the time to make your own and you'll be amazed at how much better it tastes.
