Tips:

  • Choose a crisp apple variety, such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp, for the best texture in your salad.
  • Use high-quality Stilton cheese for the best flavor. A mature Stilton will have a stronger flavor than a younger cheese.
  • If you don't have any walnuts on hand, you can substitute another type of nut, such as pecans or almonds.
  • To make the salad ahead of time, cook the chicken and bacon and chop the apples and celery. Store the ingredients separately in airtight containers in the refrigerator. When ready to serve, assemble the salad and toss with the dressing.
  • This salad is also delicious served warm. Simply heat the chicken and bacon before assembling the salad.

Conclusion:

This apple, chicken, and Stilton salad is a delicious and satisfying meal. It's perfect for a light lunch or dinner, and it's also great for picnics and potlucks. The combination of sweet apples, savory chicken, salty bacon, and tangy Stilton cheese is sure to please everyone at your table.
