APPLE 'DUMP' CAKE - NO CAKE MIX NEEDED!

Apple 'dump' Cake - No Cake Mix Needed! image

Yesterday, while in a Thrift Shop in Paia, Maui, I found a spiral-bound cookbook called Maui's Marvelous Munchies. Many of the recipes start with a box or can of something and I always bake from scratch -- this recipe though, looks like a good go-to cake when you're in a hurry. I'm posting here to check nutritional info.

Tips:

  • Use a variety of apples. This will give your dump cake a complex flavor and texture. Some good options include Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, and Braeburn apples.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing will make the cake tough. Just mix until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the cake at a high temperature for a short amount of time. This will help to create a crispy crust and a soft, gooey center.
  • Serve the cake warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. This will take your dessert to the next level!

Conclusion:

Apple dump cake is a classic dessert that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With its simple ingredients and delicious flavor, it's the perfect dessert for any occasion. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy dessert, give apple dump cake a try. You won't be disappointed!
