Steps:

  • Season pork chops with garlic, salt and pepper.
  • In heavy skillet, brown chops in small amount of cooking oil.
  • Mix remaining ingredients while chops are browning.

3 tablespoons butter
1 onion, sliced thin
1 cup white wine
4 cups applesauce

Steps:

  • Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
  • Place a large skillet over medium-high heat. Lay seasoned pork chops into the hot skillet. In the spaces between the chops, add the butter and onions. Cook and stir the onions while the first side of the chops cook until browned, 5 to 7 minutes. Turn the chops and continue cooking until the no longer pink in the center, 5 to 7 minutes more. 4 double-cut pork loin chops, 1 1/2 to 2 inches thick (bone in)
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 bunch fresh flat-leaf parsley, chopped
1 bunch fresh thyme, chopped
4 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1 cup brown sauce, prepared or chicken broth
1/4 cup cider vinegar

Steps:

  • In a shallow pan, pour marinade over pork chops and marinate for 1 hour.
  • Remove the meat from the marinade and drain off the excess. In a skillet over high heat, pan-sear the pork chops on both sides in butter and oil to seal in juices. 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

2 teaspoons lemon zest

5 Gala, Honey Crisp or Golden Delicious apples, quartered, cored and sliced

2 pounds Golden Delicious apples, peeled and chopped
3 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried sage
4 bone-in pork chops (1/2-inch thick; about 6 ounces each)
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons cold unsalted butter
Chopped fresh parsley, for topping

Steps:

  • Make the applesauce: Combine the apples, sugar and 1/2 cup water in a large pot. Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat. Reduce the heat to medium low, cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until the apples are very tender but still juicy, about 15 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the lemon juice. Mash the apples with a fork, or puree with an immersion blender or in a food processor for a smoother sauce. Transfer to a bowl and refrigerate at least 30 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, make the pork chops: Mix the paprika, garlic powder and sage in a small bowl. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper and rub all over with the paprika mixture. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and add the vegetable oil. Add the pork chops, reduce the heat to medium and cook until golden brown on the bottom, about 3 minutes. Flip and cook until browned on the other side and cooked through, 2 to 3 more minutes. Remove to a plate and pour off the drippings from the skillet.
  • Add the chicken broth and lemon juice to the skillet and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Add any juices from the plate of pork to the skillet and simmer until the sauce is reduced by half, 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in the butter until smooth. 6 mushrooms, sliced
1 apple, semi-sweet kind, sliced
1 beer, I use Fat Tire

  • Salt and pepper pork chops.
  • Fry pork chops in olive oil.
  • Remove from pan and keep warm.
  • In same pan melt butter.
  • Add red onion, mushrooms and apple.

Made with some soy sauce, garlic, ginger and of course applesauce! I found this recipe, hand-written, in my recipe collection. I have no idea where I got the recipe. Hope you like it.

2 cups applesauce
1/3 cup sugar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 garlic clove, minced
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
6 boneless pork chops, 1/2 inch thick
2 tablespoons butter

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine the applesauce, sugar, soy sauce, garlic and ginger; mix well and pour into a greased 13" X 9" X 2" baking dish.
  • In a skillet, brown the pork chops in the butter.
  • When browned on both sides, place over the applesauce mixture.
  • Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until meat is tender.

1-1/2 cups crushed seasoned stuffing
1 medium tart apple, peeled and chopped
3 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoons chopped onion
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon rubbed sage
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup raisins
4 boneless pork loin chops (1/2 inch thick and 6 ounces each)
1 envelope pork gravy mix

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the first eight ingredients. Place in a greased 11x7-in. microwave-safe dish. Top with pork chops. Cover and microwave on high for 8-12 minutes or until a thermometer reads 160°. Prepare gravy mix according to package directions. Serve with pork chops.

4 rib pork chops (1/2 inch thick)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 large red apple
1-1/2 cups applesauce
1 cup water
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 package (6 ounces) chicken-flavored wild rice mix
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon cold water

Steps:

  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown pork chops in oil on both sides; drain. Cut four thin wedges from apple; set aside. Peel and chop remaining apple. Add chopped apple, applesauce, water, onion, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt and pepper to skillet. Cover and simmer for 30-35 minutes or until meat juices run clear., Meanwhile, prepare rice according to package directions. Remove pork chops and keep warm. Combine cornstarch and cold water until smooth; stir into apple mixture. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes. Return chops to skillet and heat through. , Serve with rice.
