These burgers are juicy and full of flavor. Even people who don't really like lamb have enjoyed these burgers. You can double the recipe and freeze half of the patties in wax paper to eat at a later time. Fine to place on the grill frozen (just add to the cooking time).

Apricot & Mint Lamb Burgers W/ Green Mayonnaise image

These burgers are absolutely to die for! An interesting twist to an ordinary meal. As you're prepping the patties they may seem a litle loose but don't worry, they will hold together, just be gentle! Mayo can be made mixing by hand if you do not have a food processor, just make sure you chop everything really good before mixing. Enjoy!

Tips:

  • Choose high-quality lamb. Look for lamb that is fresh, grass-fed, and free-range. This will ensure that your burgers are flavorful and juicy.
  • Grind your own lamb. If you can, grind your own lamb at home. This will give you more control over the texture and flavor of your burgers.
  • Use a light touch when mixing the lamb. Overmixing the lamb will make your burgers tough. Mix the lamb just until it is combined.
  • Season the lamb generously. Use a variety of spices to flavor your lamb burgers. Some good options include salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and coriander.
  • Form the lamb burgers gently. Do not press down on the burgers too hard, as this will make them tough. Form the burgers into patties that are about 1/2-inch thick.
  • Cook the lamb burgers over medium heat. This will help to prevent the burgers from drying out. Cook the burgers for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through.
  • Make the green mayonnaise ahead of time. This will give the flavors time to meld. The mayonnaise can be made up to 3 days in advance.
  • Serve the lamb burgers on toasted buns with your favorite toppings. Some good options include lettuce, tomato, onion, and cheese.

Conclusion:

Apricot mint lamb burgers with green mayonnaise are a delicious and easy-to-make meal. The lamb burgers are juicy and flavorful, and the green mayonnaise is a refreshing and tangy addition. These burgers are perfect for a summer cookout or a casual weeknight dinner.
