Tips:

  • Use fresh, tender peas. The best peas for this dish are young, sweet peas that are still in their pods. You can also use frozen peas, but fresh peas will give you the best flavor.
  • Don't overcook the peas. Peas are best when they are cooked just until tender. Overcooked peas will be mushy and lose their flavor.
  • Use a variety of peppers. This recipe calls for bell peppers, but you can also use other types of peppers, such as chili peppers or jalapeños. Just be sure to adjust the amount of peppers you use depending on how spicy you like your food.
  • Add fresh herbs. Fresh herbs, such as dill, oregano, and parsley, add a lot of flavor to this dish. Be sure to use fresh herbs whenever possible.
  • Serve immediately. This dish is best served immediately after it is cooked. The peas will lose their flavor if they are allowed to sit for too long.

Conclusion:

Arakas me anthos is a delicious and easy-to-make Greek side dish. It is perfect for a summer meal, and it can also be served as part of a mezze platter. The fresh peas, peppers, and herbs give this dish a bright and flavorful taste. If you are looking for a new way to enjoy peas, be sure to try this recipe.
