Delicious drop biscuits that are great for brunch or dinner. Leftovers can be diced and baked as crutons. The whole wheat flour gives it a nice texture. I got this recipe from one of my favorite Canadian author/teacher, Bonnie Stern.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients for the best flavor. Kerrygold butter, King Arthur Flour, and freshly cracked black pepper will all make a difference in the final product.
  • Be sure to chill the dough before baking. This will help the biscuits to rise evenly and have a flaky texture.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing will make the biscuits tough.
  • Bake the biscuits until they are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Serve the biscuits warm with butter, honey, or your favorite jam.

Conclusion:

These Asiago Cracked Black Pepper Biscuits are a delicious and easy-to-make side dish or snack. They are perfect for any occasion, from a casual get-together to a holiday party. With their cheesy, peppery flavor, these biscuits are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them.
