BACON ROLL UPS I

Bacon Roll Ups I image

This is a great, easy hot appetizer. Pepperidge Farm® sandwich bread works great with this recipe, as it's square and firm. I make these ahead, freeze them on a cookie sheet, store them in a freezer bag, then cook them as I need them. Wonderful if friends drop by during the holidays!

Tips:

  • For the best results, use high-quality ingredients. Look for bacon that is thick-cut and has a good amount of marbling. Use a sharp knife to cut the bacon into even slices.
  • If you don't have a rolling pin, you can use a wine bottle or even a glass to roll out the crescent roll dough.
  • Be careful not to overfill the crescent roll dough with the bacon and cheese mixture. Otherwise, the rolls will be difficult to seal and may come apart during baking.
  • Bake the rolls until they are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. This will take about 15-20 minutes.
  • Serve the rolls warm with your favorite dipping sauce. Some popular options include ranch dressing, honey mustard, or barbecue sauce.

Conclusion:

Bacon cheese roll-ups are a quick and easy appetizer that is always a hit with guests. They are perfect for parties, potlucks, or game day gatherings.
