Tips:

  • Use firm, tart apples for baking, such as Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Braeburn. These apples will hold their shape and not become mushy when baked.
  • Slice the apples evenly so that they cook evenly. If the slices are too thick, they will take longer to cook and may not soften all the way through.
  • Toss the apple slices with a mixture of sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg before baking. This will help to enhance the flavor of the apples and give them a golden brown color.
  • Bake the apple slices at a high temperature (400°F) for a short amount of time (15-20 minutes). This will help to caramelize the sugar and create a crispy crust on the apples.
  • Serve the apple slices warm with a dollop of whipped cream, ice cream, or yogurt.

Conclusion:

These baked cinnamon apple slices are a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are perfect for a quick snack, a healthy breakfast, or a special occasion dessert. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a delicious and nutritious treat that will satisfy your sweet tooth.
