Categories     Crackers

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 pkg low-moisture part-skim mozzarella cheese
60 ritz reduced fat crackers
1 c spaghetti sauce

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oven to 325.
  • 2. Cut cheese crosswise into 15 slices, then cut each slice in half.
  • 3. Top 30 crackers with cheese; cover with remaining crackers. Place in 15x10x1 inch pan.
  • 4. Bake 8 minutes, or until cheese begins to melt. Meanwhile, heat spaghetti sauce. Serve cracker sandwiches as dippers with sauce.

Tips:

  • Use fresh mozzarella cheese. Fresh mozzarella will melt and stretch better than pre-shredded or low-moisture mozzarella.
  • Cut the mozzarella cheese into small pieces. This will help the cheese melt evenly and prevent it from becoming stringy.
  • Coat the cheese pieces in flour, eggs, and breadcrumbs. This will help the cheese bites stay together and become crispy when baked.
  • Use a variety of toppings. You can top the cheese bites with anything from marinara sauce and grated Parmesan cheese to pesto and crumbled bacon.
  • Bake the cheese bites until they are golden brown. This will ensure that the cheese is melted and the breading is crispy.

Conclusion:

Mozzarella bites are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or snack. They are perfect for parties or potlucks, and they can also be enjoyed as a quick and satisfying meal. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create delicious mozzarella bites that your family and friends will love.
