Time 25m

Number Of Ingredients 6

12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
12 oz milk chocolate chips
1 Tbsp butter
1 can(s) sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp peppermint extract

Steps:

  • 1. Melt chips and butter in double boiler or in the microwave. Add other ingredients and mix well.
  • 2. Pour into a buttered 9x13" pan, cool and cut into small pieces.
  • 3. Keep in covered container in the refrigerator.

Tips:

  • Choose fresh mint leaves. This will ensure the best flavor for your mints.
  • Wash and dry the mint leaves thoroughly. This will help to prevent the mints from becoming soggy.
  • Use a food processor to finely chop the mint leaves. This will help to evenly distribute the mint flavor throughout the mints.
  • Add a small amount of water or milk to the mint mixture. This will help to bind the ingredients together and make the mints easier to form.
  • Chill the mint mixture for at least 30 minutes before forming the mints. This will help the mints to set and hold their shape.
  • Roll the mint mixture into small balls and then flatten them into disks. You can use a fork to create a crisscross pattern on the top of the mints.
  • Place the mints on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure the mints are not touching each other.
  • Freeze the mints for at least 2 hours before serving. This will help the mints to firm up and develop their flavor.
