1 tbs. chilli powder
2 cups crushed tortilla chips(divided)

Tips:

  • Choose the right ground beef. For the best flavor, use a lean ground beef (80/20) that has been freshly ground. Avoid using ground beef that has been sitting in the refrigerator for a long time, as it will have lost some of its flavor.
  • Season the ground beef well. Don't be afraid to add plenty of salt, pepper, and other spices to the ground beef. This will help to give the casserole a lot of flavor.
  • Use a variety of cheese. A combination of cheddar, Monterey Jack, and pepper Jack cheese will give the casserole a delicious and complex flavor. You can also use other types of cheese, such as mozzarella or queso fresco.
  • Don't overcook the casserole. The casserole should be cooked until the ground beef is cooked through and the cheese is melted, but it should not be overcooked. Overcooking will make the casserole dry and tough.
  • Serve the casserole immediately. The casserole is best served immediately after it is cooked. This will ensure that the cheese is melted and gooey and the casserole is hot and bubbly.
