ACTUALLY DELICIOUS TURKEY BURGERS
This is a simple and delicious recipe. After making them the first time my husband said 'no more' to beef burgers. These are really good - any cooking method may be used, and they freeze very well. The recipe can also be used for meatballs or meat loaves.

Steps:
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl (Use your fingers, it works the best!). Add more bouillon if you like a stronger beef flavor. Let it sit for about 15 minutes to soak all the flavor.
- Take wax paper, parchment paper or foil and cut 12 square shaped pieces.
- Lay the wax paper down on the counter, and make a patty from the meat and place on top, layer another sheet and patty up to 2 patties. I made 12 patties, but you can make bigger ones than I did.
- Place remaining patties and wax paper in a gallon sized freezer bag. Freeze nicely for up to a month. Pull them out as needed. Great grilled or even just placed in the broiler.
- Cooking time is about 10-15 minutes.

WORLD'S BEST TURKEY BURGER
Yes, there is a turkey burger that my red meat eating boys will eat! After several attempts of trial and error - I have come up with a flavorful, juicy burger that has made it into our regular rotation of meals. Makes 5-6 large, thick burgers. Watch closely when cooking for the first time, because the ricotta - which adds the extra moisture - can burn easily.

Steps:
- Mix all ingredients together with hands.
- Form into patties of desired size and thickness. If you keep them fairly thick, they will be moister.
- Place into lightly greased, non stick skillet (I like using my cast iron skillet)on medium high. Cook without moving until bottom side is dark brown and crusted - appx 4-5 minutes.
- Turn over, then reduce heat to medium and cook 8-10 minutes longer or until center is no longer pink and juices run clear.
- I serve on ciabatta rolls with mayo, more Dijon, a slice of pepper jack cheese, lettuce and tomato. Yum!

Tips:
- Choose lean ground turkey: For a healthier burger, select ground turkey with a fat content of 93% or higher.
- Add moisture: To prevent dry burgers, incorporate ingredients like grated vegetables (such as zucchini or carrots), bread crumbs soaked in milk, or mashed avocado.
- Enhance flavor: Season the turkey patties generously with a blend of herbs and spices. Consider using a pre-made burger seasoning mix or creating your own combination with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cumin, and chili powder.
- Don't overmix: Overmixing the turkey mixture can result in tough burgers. Gently combine the ingredients until just blended.
- Cook to perfection: For juicy burgers, cook them over medium heat until an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) is reached. Avoid overcooking, as this will dry out the burgers.
- Let the burgers rest: Allow the cooked burgers to rest for a few minutes before serving. This helps the juices redistribute, resulting in a more flavorful and tender burger.
Conclusion:
With their lean protein content and versatility, beefy turkey burgers are a delicious and nutritious alternative to traditional beef burgers. By following these tips, you can create juicy, flavorful, and satisfying turkey burgers that the whole family will enjoy. Experiment with different flavor combinations and toppings to find your perfect burger recipe.
