This is my family's favorite breakfast recipe, always served on holiday mornings. It's great when complemented with fruit and resurrection cinnamon rolls. You can assemble this casserole, cover it with plastic wrap, and refrigerate it overnight before baking, if desired.

BEST BREAKFAST CASSEROLE EVER!
So quick and easy to make. A hit with everyone and makes great leftovers. I found this online somewhere years ago. I wanted something that didn't have to sit over night and I don't like the soggy bread in most casseroles. Once I found this, I never looked back. You can spice it up with veggies or whatever you want but below is the basic recipe I found.

Steps:
- spray 9x13 baking dish with pam.

- roll out 1 can of crescent rolls on bottom of pan.
- cook sausage in skillet, drain and spread over crescent rolls in pan.
- beat all eggs with a touch of milk.
- add 4 cups of cheese to egg mixture - this gets hard to stir, I find a wooden spoon works best.

- When choosing bread for your casserole, consider using a sturdy variety that will hold up well in the baking process. Options like French bread, sourdough, or a hearty white bread are all good choices.
- Feel free to customize your casserole with your favorite ingredients. Add-ins like cooked bacon, sausage, or vegetables can add extra flavor and texture.
- For a cheesy casserole, use a combination of different types of cheese. For example, try using a blend of cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
- Make sure to whisk the eggs and milk together thoroughly before pouring them over the bread cubes. This will help ensure that the casserole is evenly cooked.
- Bake the casserole until the top is golden brown and the center is set. This usually takes around 30-40 minutes, but the cooking time may vary depending on the size and depth of your casserole dish.
