BISQUICK TURKEY CLUB SQUARES

This is very good, and takes no time to make, it is great with chopped cooked chicken also. I have only made this with original Bisquick, so I am not sure if using a Bisquick clone would produce the same results.

  • For a crispy crust, use a combination of butter and olive oil to grease the pan.
  • To ensure even cooking, make sure the turkey is cut into uniform pieces.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan when cooking the turkey; otherwise, it will steam instead of brown.
  • For a richer flavor, use a flavorful cheese, such as cheddar or Gruyère.
  • If you don't have buttermilk, you can make your own by adding 1 tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice to 1 cup of regular milk. Let it sit for 5 minutes before using.
  • To make the squares ahead of time, assemble them and then freeze them. When ready to serve, thaw them overnight in the refrigerator and then bake them according to the recipe instructions.
