BLOODY MARY LONDON BROIL

Bloody Mary London Broil image

Stanley Lobel, of Lobel's Prime Meat Market, enjoys an inventive twist to the standard London broil: marinating it in Bloody Mary ingredients. Stanley's favorite choice of meat is hanger steak but he also uses flank, chuck, or European cut. Regardless of your choice it's always important to pick top quality meat for the most tender and flavorful London broil.

Tips:

  • Choose the right tomatoes: Use ripe, flavorful tomatoes for the best Bloody Mary marinade. Roma tomatoes are a good option because they have a low water content and a concentrated flavor.
  • Use fresh herbs and spices: Fresh herbs and spices will give your marinade the most flavor. If you don't have fresh herbs on hand, you can use dried herbs, but use about half the amount.
  • Let the meat marinate for at least 30 minutes, but no longer than 24 hours. The longer the meat marinates, the more flavor it will absorb.
  • If you're using a chicken breast, pound it thin before marinating it. This will help the marinade penetrate the meat more evenly.
  • When you're ready to cook the meat, remove it from the marinade and pat it dry. This will help the meat brown more evenly.

Conclusion:

A Bloody Mary marinade is a great way to add flavor to your next steak, chicken, or pork dish. It's easy to make and can be used with a variety of different meats. Just remember to choose ripe, flavorful tomatoes and fresh herbs and spices. And don't forget to let the meat marinate for at least 30 minutes before cooking. With these tips, you'll be sure to create a delicious and memorable meal.
